Greetings Families!
My name is LaKeshia Lewis and I am thrilled to serve as Principal of Quality Hill for the upcoming school year. This year marks my 12th year in education and I still feel the same excitement and purpose for teaching and learning as I did my first year! Prior to taking on the role of Principal, I served as Assistant Principal at Quality Hill. I am excited for the opportunity to continue working with our returning families and students as well as welcome our new students and families to Quality Hill!
I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri and moved to Kansas City in 2005 to attend UMKC. Go Roos! After earning a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education, I served as a classroom teacher to 4th and 6th grade students In the KCPS and KCK Public School Districts. During my time in the classroom, I made it my mission to provide my students with educational opportunities that served them both academically and socially. I still strongly believe that it is our job as educators to provide students with access to a high quality education that inspires critical thinking, problem solving and passion inside and outside of the classroom. I earned my Masters in Educational Administration from
the University of Central Missouri in 2018.
As we prepare to embark on another school year, I am excited to work in partnership with our families, students and teachers to make this another great year at Quality Hill. The work that we do is critical and none of us can do this work alone. I feel honored to have such an amazing staff that I can work alongside with daily to make the mission and vision of our district a reality.

Welcome to the Parent Action Committee
The Parent Action Committee (or PAC for short) is our parent organization for Crossroads
Academy – Quality Hill. We meet together to plan activities and create opportunities to support our kiddos and QH staff.
The PAC Mission
To make Crossroads Academy – Quality Hill a truly unique community. We
work on projects that build school community and encourage fun.
There are no dues or fees
If you are a parent or guardian of a Crossroads Academy student, you are automatically a
member of the PAC and are welcome to join in as much as you are able. There is a PAC board of
parent volunteers who manage ongoing communication, organize activities and call regular meetings for all parents to join in.
Together we are creating a community
As family members, we play a vital role in building community by focusing on opportunities and
activities that will:
- Promote school spirit and unity
- Support student activities
- Facilitate family engagement throughout the school year
- Raise money to help fund special activities and refreshments for school events
- Provide a forum for parents and guardians to discuss issues of importance
We need helpers to pull it all together
Each year, the PAC creates activities and events which can use extra parent support, including:
- Scholastic Book Fair
- Staff appreciation events
- Breakfast with Buddies
- Uniform swap
- Fundraising efforts, including proceeds from cookie or trash bag sales
